KEY OF BLUE
This project has been in the making our whole lives we could say, because it’s a reflection of who we are, who lives in us, our love of music, and an excellent spirit. KOB isn’t 100% blues, but it has blues songs on it, and everything else is flavored by the style. Just as a disclaimer (because some people get weirded out if you mention ‘blues’ and ‘Christian’ in the same sentence), a blues style is NOT ‘of the devil’. We don’t have any lyrics about being poor, broke, miserable, or drunk (because we’re not any of those things). And look - even if the blues has been associated with misery, some of us are interested in taking back the genre and using it for the glory of God!
We’ve got songs about resurrection, what it’s like in heaven, stories, money management, being a living sacrifice, dancing, and answers for your life
We’d like to take credit for the cover artwork, but it’s something we happened to stumble upon near some railroad tracks and we thought, ‘Wow, what a great shot!’ You’ve got to check out the back.
