(Zephaniah 3:17 paraphrased) The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing [he will spin round in a violent motion with gladness, shouting and triumph]!

Healing

Reciting scripture          Raising from dead         Elderly near death

Q.  Does reciting scriptures help you get healed?

A.  There is no set rule regarding reciting scriptures for healing. There are two reasons why we should do this, though. The first is that faith comes by hearing the word of God and when we recite His word out loud, in helps to dispel doubts that our mind may be facing regarding our own healing and quicken the faith that is already in us (Gal 5:22). Secondly, God is faithful to His word and His promises are yes and amen.  When we come to the place where we truly believe His word, then our faith is activated and our body must line up with what we believe.

Q.  If someone died a month ago, is it too late to raise him from the dead?  I know God isn’t responsible for the death.

A.  Raising people from the dead should be a fairly common occurrence in the Christian life.  Unfortunately, due to our preoccupation with other things, we’re not always as sensitive to God’s will as we should be in these situations.  Not everyone that we have prayed for has been raised from the dead, yet sometimes it happens.  A friend of ours once asked God, ‘Why don’t I have as much of the Holy Ghost operating in me as Jesus had?’ God’s response was, ‘I had all of Jesus, do I have all of you?’  Probably this is the very reason we don’t see as many people raised from the dead in this country as we should.  In other cultures it is much more common because they don’t have as much to distract them from hearing God’s voice and operating in his anointing.

Q.  I am in need for prayer for my mama.  She is 84 and had 2 major surgeries -- one was for a ruptured appendix.  She has not even come close to returning to the health that she was in before.  I am doubting my faith as we are having hospice coming.  I feel each day here for her is a day closer to her resurrection.  She is very tired and frail and I know the Lord is my strength.

A.  We do have to keep in mind that our bodies are not celestial at this point while we are here on Earth and were not designed to live forever in this state.  Since healing is dependent on your mother’s free will, if she is tired and desiring to go home, no amount of praying or believing on our part will be able to help.

We know God does not want us sick, and even the elderly can leave this world healthy.  We pray for peace in your household and we know that according to the Bible, the moment our spirit leaves this world it is immediately with Jesus!  We are in agreement for your mother’s healing and that she is at peace with Him.  Isaiah 26:3 says if we keep our minds stayed on Him, he will keep us in perfect peace.  Blessings.  If you need prayer, please email us with your phone number and we’ll return your call promptly.
